2025 Water Quality Update
One of the things we enjoy best about Tabor Lake is the excellent clarity and quality of the water. It adds so much to our enjoyment of swimming, boating, tubing and really every lake-related activity.
The water quality is frequently monitored by volunteers in the Tabor Lake Association, particularly Keith Mason.
Do your part to maintain the natural beauty of our lake water by following these best practices.
Eliminate Fertilizer: Avoid using fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides on lawns, as phosphorus and nitrogen runoff fuels algae blooms.
Create a Buffer Zone: Plant native trees, shrubs, and deep-rooted grasses along the shoreline to filter pollutants, absorb nutrients, and prevent soil erosion.
Prevent Invasive Species: Clean, drain, and dry boats and equipment to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.
